Detect the labials, adapt the text

The text has to fit the mouth, not just the sentence.

For adapters, dialogue writers

My mouth, your phrase, one frame

The problem

A correct line that betrays the mouth comes back from the floor. The cost is not in the writing, it is in the retake.

Labials, semi-labials and open vowels are marked as you write, against a 77,288-entry lexicon shipped inside the application. No network, no account, no key.

The answer

Offline detection

The phonetic lexicon lives inside the application. Detection works in the booth, on a train, or on a programme that is not allowed to leave the studio.

Does lip detection need a connection? #
No, never. It is the feature that sets Axeho apart most: it consumes no external service and therefore costs nothing per use.
What is a viseme, concretely? #
The shape the mouth takes for a sound. Two different sounds can produce the same image: that is what lets you change a word without the eye noticing.

Reading-rate control

Characters per second are flagged both ways. A line that is too tight is a known problem; a line that is too loose is another one, and it usually goes unnoticed until the floor.

Is the rate flagged when a line is too short? #
Yes. A line that is too loose leaves a gap in the character’s mouth, and that fault costs as much as an overcrowded one.

Find and replace

Across the whole episode, or on a single character. Replacement only touches the text on display: never the field you cannot see.

Can I replace a word for one character only? #
Yes. Pick the role in the band toolbar: search and replace are scoped to it, including “replace all”.
